14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

Ya'alon: We Don't Want an Escalation, But Don't Test Us-Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon reiterates that Israel will respond to any acts of aggression from Gaza.By Elad Benari-First Publish: 12/25/2014, 3:15 AM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said on Wednesday that Israel is not interested in an escalation in Gaza but will respond to any acts of aggression from terrorists in the region. He spoke following a security assessment that was held in the wake of a shooting incident near the border with Gaza, which left an IDF soldier in critical condition."We are not interested in an escalation or harming the rehabilitation operations in Gaza, but Hamas must not test our patience in the face of attempts to disrupt our lives,"  Ya’alon said."We consider Hamas responsible for what is happening in Gaza. We will not allow a routine of firing and we will also respond with determination and strength in any similar case."Earlier, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz stated that the IDF would continue to quash escalation along the Gaza border."Instability is a regular feature in the life of the IDF and every border of the State of Israel," Gantz said."We have no intention of allowing these incidents to pass unanswered," he added. "We responded to the incident in the area and we will work correctly and powerfully as required in the future."Wednesday’s incident came after Gaza terrorists fired a rocket at Israel last Friday in a breach of the truce with Israel, in at least the third such rocket attack since the ceasefire that ended Operation Protective Edge in August. In response to the rocket attack, the IAF struck Gaza concrete factories used to rebuild the terror tunnels leading into Israel and built to attack Israeli civilians. Over 30 such tunnels were destroyed in the operation, but since it ended Hamas has been busily rebuilding them.

Bomb One Hamas Building For Every Shot Fired' Demands Danon-MK Danny Danon calls for crackdown and closure of crossings supplying materials used against Israel after Gaza sniper fire on IDF.By Ari Yashar-First Publish: 12/24/2014, 12:47 PM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Likud Central Committee Chairperson MK Danny Danon responded to the sniper fire from Gaza terrorists targeting IDF soldiers on Wednesday morning, in which one soldier was reportedly wounded and a Hamas terrorist leader was killed."For every shot from Gaza, we must take down a Hamas building," demanded Danon, after soldiers guarding workers rebuilding the security barrier in southern Gaza came under fire."In light of the fact that Hamas has launched a war of attrition against Israel, we must stop all transfer of goods to Gaza to return the strength of deterrence," said Danon. "It is unthinkable that at a time when in Gaza they're firing at us, Hamas receives cement and concrete to be used against us."Indeed, Hamas has been actively rebuilding its terror tunnels into Israel meant to launch attacks on Israeli civilians, after over 30 of the tunnels were demolished in Operation Protective Edge.Danon served as Deputy Defense Minister before being fired by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for criticizing his management of the operation. Danon slammed the numerous ceasefires, with the earliest one being agreed to before the terror tunnels were lethally unveiled, indicating Netanyahu was willing to leave them in place. In the attack on Wednesday, sniper fire set in motion an exchange of heavy fire that reportedly included IAF airstrikes and IDF tank shelling. To the east of Khan Younis, Tayseer al-Ismary (33), head of the surveillance unit in Hamas's "armed wing" Al-Qassam Brigades, was killed in the exchange according to local medical sources, and two other Gazans were wounded. The attack came after Gaza terrorists fired a rocket at Israel last Friday in a breach of the truce, marking at least the third such breach since the ceasefire that ended Operation Protective Edge in August. In response to the rocket attack, the IAF struck Gaza concrete factories used to rebuild the terror tunnels.Ironically, last Wednesday Hamas was removed from the European Union's (EU) official terrorist organization list due to an alleged "technicality."

Hamas Continues Rocket Test Prep for Next War-Two rockets shot into sea after attack on Israel last Friday, as the Gaza terror leaders gear up for next assault on Jewish state.By Ari Yashar-First Publish: 12/24/2014, 10:10 AM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Despite the truce that ended Operation Protective Edge in August, Hamas terrorists in Gaza continue to ramp up preparations for the next war via ongoing rocket tests. Two rockets were fired from Gaza into the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday morning as part of the rocket tests, reports the IDF Spokesperson unit.Hamas has been running an ongoing array of tests to apparently build back its rocket cache that was depleted during the operation, and expand its range even farther.Gaza terrorists haven't limited themselves to mere tests either - at least three times since the truce rockets have been fired on Israel in breach of the ceasefire, most recently last Friday. The attack came a day after Hamas held its largest military exercise since Operation Protective Edge on the ruins of two former Israeli villages - Dugit and Nissanit - in Gaza which were evacuated in the 2005 Disengagement plan, allowing Hamas to take over.It also came after Hamas was removed from the European Union's (EU) official terrorist organization list last Wednesday due to an alleged "technicality."In response to the rocket attack last Friday, the IAF struck Gaza concrete factories used to rebuild the terror tunnels leading into Israel and built to attack Israeli civilians. During the operation, the IDF destroyed over 30 such tunnels, but since it ended Hamas has been busily rebuilding them.

Steinitz: Hamas Risking Another War-Intelligence Minister warns Hamas that it risks the 'full demolition of its military and government infrastructure' by enflaming tensions.By Hezki Ezra-First Publish: 12/24/2014, 6:21 PM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Israel will not accept a deterioration of the situation along the Gaza border, Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz stated Wednesday afternoon."Hamas must figure out that if it will continue to undermine the security situation on the Gaza border it risks an Israeli response, which could snowball to a general and comprehensive military operation that will involve full demolition of its military and government infrastructure alike," Steinitz said. The IDF soldiers were guarding work on the security barrier with Gaza in the vicinity of Kibbutz Nirim and Nir Oz, to the south of the Hamas stronghold, when they came under fire Wednesday morning. The battle that followed critically injured one IDF soldier and killed a top-ranking Hamas commander - Tayseer al-Ismary (33), head of the surveillance unit in Hamas's "armed wing," the Al-Qassam Brigades.Steinitz's words closely echo those of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who sent an equally threatening warning to Hamas in a public statement Wednesday afternoon."Our policy is clear: a determined and firm response against any attempt to break the quiet in the south," he said in a statement. "We will respond forcefully every time there is an attempt to break the quiet achieved in the south after Operation Protective Edge."

Gold Digging' Arabs Caught Searching for Treasure-Two Arabs from the Tul Karem area were caught red-handed digging in a protected archaeological site - searching for hidden gold.By Moshe Cohen-First Publish: 12/25/2014, 1:16 AM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Two Arabs from the Tul Karem area were caught red-handed Sunday digging in a protected archaeological site. The two were found at the bottom of a 4.5 meter hole in the Emek Hefer area, where an archaeological dig of an 1,800 year old Roman-Byzantine era village. The two had in their possession sophisticated digging equipment, flashlights, cameras, and a generator. The two were arrested and questioned, and revealed that they had actually been hired by several Israelis – to search for gold. It turns out that there is a local legend of a large gold treasure being buried in the site, left there hundreds of years ago during the Ottoman period. It is not clear if they were working based on a treasure map, but they said they planned to dig an additional eight meters underground. The Archaeological Authority said that pirate exploration, no matter the reason, was a crime, and that such activity caused irreperable damage to archaeological sites. Police intend to arrest the Israeli bosses of the detainees in the coming days, they said.
