The IDF and Shin Bet have released their report on terrorist attacks in the month of July. Over the course of the month, 38 Israelis were wounded in terrorist assaults.
Among the wounded was a young toddler who suffered a head injury when Arabs hurled stones at a Jewish family near the Old City of Jerusalem. An eight-year-old Jewish boy was also injured in a rock-throwing attack in the Old City, and a baby girl was wounded in a rock attack on a bus heading for the Kotel (Western Wall). There were additional injuries in rock attacks near the Shechem Gate of the Old City, and on Uzi Narkis Street in Jerusalem. One man was wounded when an Arab attacker hit him in the face during a carjacking north of Jerusalem.A Jewish youth who was attacked by a group of Arab men in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem was not hurt, the report noted.Other injuries reported during the month included three Border Police officers hit by a bomb blast in Abu Dis, a hareidi-religious man who was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem, and a man who was moderately wounded in a second stabbing attack in a park near the Yemin Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem.Alert guards stopped an Arab woman who attempted to carry out a stabbing attack in the city of Hevron.Soldiers foiled several terrorist attacks, as well. A terrorist with bomb-making materials was caught in the Hevron region. Border Police arrested three Arab men at a checkpoint after finding weapons in their car. Another three were arrested at the Yitzhar junction with weapons; they had apparently planned to carry out a shooting attack.
Terrorists carried out at least 55 firebomb attacks over the course of the month, targeting civilian buses and Israeli travelers in Judea and Samaria. There were attacks in the Southern District as well. Gaza terrorists fired on Navy ships off the coast, and three rocket attacks targeted Israeli communities near Gaza. A fourth rocket attack was reported targeting the city of Eilat.

Kerry in secret final-status talks with Netanyahu and Abbas on borders, security, Jerusalem, Jordan Valley

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report July 30, 2013, 8:59 AM (IDT)
The ceremonial launch of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations early Tuesday, July 30, over the Muslim iftar meal in the State Department Jefferson room, made a photogenic front for the real brass-tacks bargaining on core issues of the long Middle East dispute, which Secretary of State John Kerry has been handling discreetly with the principals, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. This was first revealed exclusively in the last DEBKA Weekly issue of Friday, July 26.While the formal US-led talks between Israeli and Palestinian negotiating teams were being set up for the benefit of the public in the US, the Arab world, Israel and the Palestinians, Kerry was putting hard questions to the Israeli and Palestinian leaders and pushing for answers on borders, security, the Jordan Rift Valley and Jerusalem.  From time to time, he brought Arab leaders into the process, especially from the Persian Gulf. Abbas made his sudden trip to Cairo Monday, July 27 to demonstrate to the US Secretary and Israeli prime minister that he had his own lines to Arab rulers independent of Kerry’s tactics. In the end, his show fizzled. No important Egyptian leader had time to see him before the formal launch of talks in Washington or clue him in on the Egyptian military’s plans for the Gaza Strip and its Hamas rulers. The technical aspects and negotiating procedures were left to the official negotiators, Justice Minister Tzipi Llivni and Saeb Erekat, to sort out Tuesday. However, debkafile’s sources in Jerusalem and Washington report exclusively that Kerry had meanwhile challenged Netanyahu on three core issues:Would he adopt the security arrangements-versus-borders formula conceded by his predecessor Ehud Olmert to President Obama and Abbas in early 2009, in which he offered to cede around 94.6 percent of the West Bank to the Palestinians? Although the Palestinians never accepted the offer, they are now trying to make it the starting-point of the current round of talks. If Netanyahu rejected this, Kerry asked what alternative he had in mind in terms of territory he is prepared to cede on the West Bank – bearing in mind that Jewish settlements stand on app. 9.8 percent of the West Bank (not counting Jerusalem). In this way, the US Secretary quietly launched final-status negotiations on future borders
He also asked the Israeli prime minister what he meant in terms of the scope and depth of Israel’s proposed withdrawal when he insisted that Israel must retain a security presence on the Jordan Rift Valley which marks part of Israel’s eastern border. Kerry wanted to know if Jewish communities would be removed and only a military presence left in place. This question jumped the process fast forward to the interrelations between security measures and the final borders between the Israeli and Palestinian states.Kerry also wanted to find out how much financial aid Israel was ready to commit for raising the standard of living of West Bank Palestinians. A question he addressed to both Netanyahu and Abbas related to the deployment of an international force as a buffer between the Palestinians and the Israel Defense Forces. The prime minister was open to discussing this plan. Abbas gave his answer from Cairo Monday night when he declared that “not a single Israeli must remain in the Palestinian state, whether soldier or civilian.” He indicated that he would not object to an international force on the lines of UNIFIL in Lebanon or the Multinational Force in Sinai,or even NATO units. He also asked Kerry to put forward ideas on the Jerusalem question and the shape of the Palestinian state’s borders.

Livni: Talks to resume in Jerusalem, Palestinians are ‘serious’ about the process

August 3, 2013, 4:47 pm 9-the times of israel
“It is my impression that the Palestinians are serious — this is a test for them… Anybody who enters the [negotiating] room knows roughly how the talks should end.” said Livni.Last week, Israel approved the phased release of the 104 Palestinian prisoners in order to facilitate the resumption of peace talks, a move that drew criticism from those on the right of the political spectrum, many of whom see the freeing of convicted murderers and terrorists as a price too high to pay for a return to the talks. Others regard it as a necessary evil, meeting a Palestinian demand to enable the resumption of negotiations.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that approving the releases was a deeply painful decision, but one that served the wider interests of the state. The parties held their first talks in three years in Washington last week, brokered by US Secretary of State John Kerry who traveled to the region no fewer than six times in recent months to get the sides to agree to a renewal of talks. On Thursday, President Barack Obama called Netanyahu and  Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to praise both leaders for their roles in the resumption of talks. He also reportedly urged them to “move fast” and make “speedy progress” toward a permanent accord. The US has indicated that it intends to remain involved and follow developments very closely. Last week, Kerry announced the appointment of former ambassador Martin Indyk to serve as US envoy for Mideast peace and the top American negotiator for the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

In these waning end days of the month of the Consoling Father, consolation is indeed in order, and much needed, as the citizens of the State of Israel grapple with the government's mind-boggling decision to free 104 convicted murderers and torturers of Jewish men, women, children, and unborn children, as a "pre-condition" to the next round of suicidal, self-destructive "peace talks." This week's edition of Temple Talk finds Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman in somber reflection, brutal analysis and heartfelt prayer, plugging everything in to this week's Torah reading of parashat Re'eh. Ultimately our fate is not determined in Washington - it is to be determined here, in the Land of Israel, as G-d tests His people, whom He calls in this very week's Torah portion His "children" and His "treasure," urging them through these events to return to Him and to set the course of their own destiny back on track.

TORAH PORTION: RE'EH: Parashat Re'eh teaches us how to properly conduct the affairs of the nation of Israel in the land of Israel. It warns us against false prophets who preach transgression and weak leaders who make "painful decisions" which are nothing less than gross violations of everything that Torah teaches us, attempting to lead Israel into pacts with foreign cultures and false gods, foisting a Moloch-like death cult upon the righteous people of Israel.
BREAKING NEWS: IN UNPRECEDENTED CAPITULATION TO MOSLEM THREATS OF VIOLENCE GOVERNMENT ORDERS TEMPLE MOUNT CLOSED TO ALL NON-MOSLEMS THROUGH AUG 8TH: It has just been reported that in an unprecedented capitulation to Moslem threats of violence, the government of Israel has ordered the Temple Mount closed to all non-Moslems until the conclusion of the Ramadan holiday on August 8th.
NEW POLICE TEMPLE MOUNT BAN ON CAMERAS? Jews recently ascending the Temple Mount were surprised by a brand-new police directive: Not to take photographs or video clips on the Temple Mount.
TEMPLE MOUNT NEWS: JORDANIAN KING PLEDGES TO FIGHT "JUDAIZATION OF JERUSALEM:" Rabbi Chaim Richman, Director of the Temple Institute, which campaigns for greater Jewish greats on the Temple Mount, expressed his frustration at "the absurd idea that the government of Israel recognizes the so-called 'historical role' of Jordan in Jerusalem. Jordan has absolutely no claim to Jerusalem whatsoever."
"The fact that we cow-tow and grovel before a foreign element like Abdullah and ascribe some kind of role to him on Judaism's holiest site, is an illustration of the low level we are on nationally."
RAMADAN TRASH ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT: These photos were taken on Sunday, July 28, and capture a small sampling of the piles of trash left behind by Moslem Ramadan picnickers on the Temple Mount. Meanwhile, today, Monday July 29, Jews were not allowed to ascend the Mount, (for the 3rd time this month), without explanation. When Jews are allowed to ascend during this month of Ramadan they are accosted by an Arab lynch-mob of screaming men, women and children and stone-throwers. Ostensibly, the police accompanying the Jews is what prevents actual murder from taking place. The police, however, do not pursue the purveyors of hate-speech or the stone-throwers. In recent weeks the Jews have been prevented by the police from traversing the entire (hallachically permitted areas of the) Temple Mount, and direct the Jews to exit the Mount within minutes after entering. In summation: Trash yes, Jews no.

HERES WERE I BELIEVE THE 3RD TEMPLE WILL BE REBUILD WERE THE DOME OF THE SPIRITS SITS.

Jerusalem - Temple Mount: Dome of the Spirits

Click on photo to enlarge it
The small dome in the forefront is known as the Dome of the Spirits or Dome of the Tablets. It has received a lot of attention because of Asher Kaufman's theory that it marks the place of the Second Temple's Holy of Holies.

The dome stands to the northwest of the Dome of the Rock and is in a direct east/west line from the peak of the Mt. of Olives through the Eastern Gate to the Temple Mount.

According to the Mishnah, the High Priest stood on the Mt. of Olives, and while looking towards the Holy of Holies, he would sacrifice the Red Heifer and sprinkle the blood in its direction.

THIS 2009 STORY SHOULD BE LISTENED TO WORLD.BY THE TEMPLE MOUNT FAITHFUL.

Temple Mount Faithful to Israeli Government:
Build the Temple Now; No Need to Wait for the Messiah

The Holy Temple Mount in Jerusalem is again in the midst of critical events in Israel. The Temple Mount will continue to be like a "volcanic mountain" as long as the Israeli government is not removing the Arab-Islamic shrines from the Holy Temple Mount and allows them to continue to desecrate the Holy Mountain of the G‑d of Israel.

G‑d is expecting the government of Israel to immediately remove the enemy from the Temple Mount and to rebuild the Temple with no delay. The Arab-Islamic occupation of the Temple Mount and their presence upon the location of the Holy Temple, which is an abomination of the Name of G‑d, is soon to be finished under the judgment of G‑d.Israel is now in the midst of the end-time, when the G‑d of Israel is fulfilling literally each of the end-time prophecies word by word. It is a true privilege to be born during such a significant G‑dly time. Hundreds of generations dreamed, desired and prayed to be born during such a great time. The prophets of Israel that prophesied about 'this time' thousands of years ago gave us all the details about G‑d's end-time plan. Everyone should just open the Holy Book and recognize immediately that Israel today is a clear re-creation by G‑d to be the focus of all the end-time events for the entire world. What G‑d is doing with Israel during these exciting days is an opening and a condition for the redemption of all of humanity. At the same time it is a very critical time in the history of Israel when the Arab-Islamic enemies of Israel with the backing (support) of so many powers all over the world are trying to stop what G‑d is doing within Israel at this special time. The present riots against Israel are a part of their efforts to remove Israel from the map of the world. They have no chance to fulfill even one iota of their evil desires. G‑d is in control and He is going to judge them terribly. Nothing can stop the Almighty G‑d of Israel in completing His exciting plans of end-time redemption with Israel and 'through Israel' for the entire world. The most important and the climax of all of these exciting and godly end-time events is the rebuilding of the Temple of G‑d on the Temple Mount (Mt. Moriah), the place that He chose thousands of years ago to dwell among His people Israel and at this special time among all of His creation in Jerusalem. G‑d called His people to build the Temple (Exodus 25:8) with no delay and as we see Israel is very close to making this call of G‑d a reality in our lifetime. The G‑d of Israel called the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to be His vessel for the fulfillment of this most major cause ever.In this special end-time godly era when G‑d is revealing to His people Israel and to the entire world that His prophetic Word is being fulfilled literally and so clearly, it is so strange and not comprehensible how there is confusion and mistaken ideas among some people regarding the rebuilding of the Temple of G‑d and the coming of Mashiach Ben David. It is even worse when people share their mistaken ideas with others who live outside of Israel and advise them to make the same fallible mistakes. These mistaken ideas are standing against the Word of G‑d and His commandments to Israel regarding the rebuilding of His Holy Temple. It is our duty to explain the correct godly principles of the building of the Temple of G‑d especially during this critical time.Just recently we read an interview with the former executive-director of the Temple Institute, Yehuda Glick, that brought forth incorrect information and details regarding the building of the Third Temple that do not correspond with the commands of G‑d. Such ideas are actually an abomination of both the Word of G‑d and His Holy Hill. What is most appalling is when, according to this interview, Mr. Glick said that the al-Aksa Mosque does not need to be removed in order for the Third Temple to be built. "Al-Aksa can stay. It is not even on the Temple Mount proper. But we intend to just build over the Dome of the Rock. We might be able to find a way to include it in the Third Temple." For your basic information, the Dome of the Rock was constructed by Muslims on the site of the Holiest Temple and upon the rock of Abraham and Isaac. Al-Aksa mosque was built inside the perimeter of the Holy Temple Mount. We were surprised to read these strange and incorrect ideas that are in opposition to the Word of G‑d throughout the Tanach (Bible). According to the law of G‑d on the Temple Mount should be, can be and will be again only one house: the House of G‑d, the Holy Temple, and not any other building, especially not a strange pagan shrine. Throughout the history of the biblical Jewish Kingdom, foreigners that occupied the Land of Israel placed their idols inside the Jewish Temple or built their shrines on the location of the Temple. All of them were an abomination to the Name of G‑d and a desecration of His Holy Hill and were removed from the Temple Mount under the judgment of G‑d and the same will be done now by the G‑d of Israel to all that were built as the result of an imperialistic Arab-Islamic occupation of the Land of Israel. As we said, the Dome of the Rock was built by the Muslims on the most holy place of the Temple, the Holy of Holies. This is the place where Israelis and even Jewish priests were not allowed to enter. Only the high-priest was permitted to enter this holy place once a year on the holy day of Yom Kippur. All the area of the Temple itself was forbidden for any strangers to enter there. On the inner-wall that surrounded the Temple was a stone banner engraved in both Hebrew and Greek that stated according to the commandment of G‑d: "the foreigner that will come close to this holy place will die". More than this, even Israelites that were not clean had to purify themselves by immersion into a mikveh and purify themselves through the ashes of the red heifer before they could enter the Holy Temple Mount. The Temple Mount has been desecrated for a long time by the Arab foreigners that occupied the Temple Mount in the 7th century CE and built their shrines on the holy hill of G‑d against the Word of G‑d. The Dome of the Rock was built as we said on the location of the Holy of Holies, which attempted to prove and to show their domination over the G‑d and the people of Israel and all over the world. G‑d returned His people Israel back to the Promised Land, to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in order to stop this terrible abomination of His Name and the desecration of His Holy Hill. G‑d is expecting the Israeli government to do what His people did in the past when His Holy Mountain was desecrated by foreign shrines: remove the Arab Islamic foreign shrines from His Holy Hill without delay. It should be done only by an official Israeli government that will demonstrate that the people of Israel trust the G‑d of Israel and His Word and do not fear any human or physical power. These shrines can be carried to Mecca from where they originated by the Muslim occupiers. The ideas of Yehuda Glick are not only incorrect but also are offensive against G‑d and His Holy Word and no one in Israel will accept them. They represent weakness which is a result of the situation of the presence of the Muslims on the Temple Mount and fear from more than a billion Muslims instead of trusting in the Almighty G‑d of Israel who promised His people that He will always stand with them and that they should not fear any worldly power.Mr. Glick's ideas are also a result of misunderstanding the words of Isaiah who prophesied: "My house will be a house of prayer for all nations." (Isaiah 56:7) The meaning of these words is abundantly clear: "My house" says the G‑d of Israel, will be a house of prayer for all nations and not any other foreign house. More than this, only "the sons of the strangers, that join themselves to the L‑rd, to serve him, and to love the name of the L‑rd, to be his servants, every one that keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it, and all that hold fast to my covenant, even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples." (Isaiah 56:6,7)
The prophet Isaiah clarified this prophesy with even further details. He is speaking about just one house, the House of the G‑d of Jacob, that all of the nations will flow toward to learn His ways:
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the L‑rd's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the L‑rd, to the house of the G‑d of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the L‑rd from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the L‑rd.'" (Isaiah 2:2-5)
We must clarify another important point. According to Glick, the Temple will be built '... when the Messiah shows up ... it could well be tomorrow, but it might be another 100 years, or even 400 years.' However, none any of the Scriptures show that the Temple should be built only when the Mashiach comes. In the Torah G‑d commands His people Israel: "Build me a temple and I will dwell among you" (Exodus 25:8) with no condition that it should be built after the coming of Mashiach Ben David. The first Temple was built without any condition to wait for the coming of the Mashiach. The second Temple was built after the destruction of the first Temple and the regathering of the Jews back to their land by G‑d with no waiting for the coming of the Mashiach. In a similar time to our era when the people of Israel did not want to rebuild the Temple and perhaps were waiting for the coming of the Messiah, the prophet Haggai called the people of Israel to listen and obey the Word of G‑d to immediately rebuild the Temple:
"Thus speaks the L‑rd of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the L‑rd's house should be built. Then the word of the L‑rd came by Haggai the prophet, saying, Is it time for you, yourselves, to dwell in your well timbered houses, whilst this house lies waste? Thus speaks the L‑rd of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the L‑rd's house should be built?. Thus says the L‑rd of hosts; Consider your ways, Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the L‑rd." (Haggai 1:2-4,7)
Even the Jerusalemite Talmud indicates that when the Mashiach comes, the Temple already has been rebuilt and he will go up to the roof of the Temple, calling to the people of Israel: "Awake! The time of your redemption has come!"
According to the prophets of Israel, three events should take place before the coming of Messiah Ben David:
  • First, is the regathering of the twelve tribes of Israel from the four corners of the world to the Promised Land.
  • The second event is the rebirth of Israel as a nation and again as the kingdom of G‑d in the Land of Israel.
  • The third event is the rebuilding of the Temple on the Temple Mount in the same location as the first and second Temples.
The first two events have already come to pass in Israel during this exciting time of redemption. Now the third Temple should be immediately built, says the G‑d of Israel, with no delay and then the Messiah will come. The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement is faithful to the Word of G‑d and His expectations from the people of Israel. We shall not rest until Israel removes the enemy from the Holy Temple Mount as the G‑d of Israel expects her to do and the Temple is rebuilt in our lifetime. The third Temple should be built immediately by Israel to be a House of Prayer for the people of G‑d, Israel, and for all the nations. Everyone, both in Israel and in the entire world, is called to stand with the Faithful Movement of G‑d and to help her to build the Temple of G‑d on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem and to prepare the people of Israel to again be a biblical nation fulfilling the mission in which the G‑d of Israel anointed her to be: "a holy nation, a kingdom of priests and a light to the nations" Exodus 19:5,6).
In G‑d we trust!!

Arab atheists, though few, inch out of the shadows

Being a self-described atheist is rare in the Muslim-majority Arab world — but this tiny minority is taking small steps to emerge and find a voice

August 4, 2013, 4:38 am 4-the times of israel

Still, this tiny minority has taken small steps out of the shadows. Groups on social media networks began to emerge in the mid-2000s. Now, the Arab Spring that began in early 2011 has given a further push: The heady atmosphere of “revolution” with its ideas of greater freedoms of speech and questioning of long-held taboos has encouraged this opening. One 40-year-old Egyptian engineer, born a Muslim, told The Associated Press he had long been an atheist but kept it a deep secret. The 2011 uprising in Egypt and its calls for radical change encouraged him to look online for others like himself.“Before the revolution, I was living a life in total solitude. I didn’t know anybody who believed like me,” he said. “Now we have more courage than we used to have.”His case illustrates the limits on how far an atheist can go. Like most others interviewed by The Associated Press, he spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals, harassment or troubles with his family. His “going public” is strictly online.Even the Internet is not entirely safe. In most Arab countries, being an atheist is not in itself illegal, but there are often laws against “insulting religion.”
Last year, Egyptian Alber Saber, a Christian who identifies as an atheist, was arrested after neighbors complained he had posted an anti-Islam film on his Facebook page. Though he denied it, he was sentenced to three years in prison for blasphemy and contempt of religion. Released on bail during appeal in December, he moved to France.Similarly, a Palestinian atheist, Waleed al-Husseini, was arrested in 2010 in the West Bank town of Qalqilya for allegedly mocking Islam on the Internet. He was held without charge for several months, and after his release also fled to France.Still, the online space is flourishing. There are some 60 Arabic-language atheist Facebook groups — all but five of them formed since the Arab Spring. They range from “Atheists of Yemen” with only 25 followers, to “Sudanese Atheists” with 10,344 followers. There are pages that appear dormant, but most maintain some activity. An “Arab Atheist Broadcasting” outfit produces pro-atheism YouTube clips. There are closed groups, like an atheist dating club in Egypt. Some draw strong negative comment. One responder, calling himself Sam, maintained that “attacking Islam has become the cheapest flight ticket to Europe,” a reference to those who have fled their Muslim homelands. Writing on the website Elaph, Sam referred to Westerners who convert to Islam, saying “We Muslims take the best of them and they take the garbage from us.”It is impossible to know the number of atheists in the Arab world, given their secrecy. It is not clear whether the increasing online activity reflects that numbers have risen or simply that more are emerging from isolation. Over a dozen interviews with atheists suggest both. In any case, atheists remain a tiny minority. The Arab Spring uprisings fueled the debate in the region over the role of religion in society and politics, but even secular activists are quick to distinguish themselves from atheists.
Disillusion with the post-revolution rise of Islamists, who demand strict implementation of religious rules, has also prompted some to reassess their beliefs.Watching the changes pushed Fadwa, an 18-year-old Tunisian woman, from detached agnostic to atheist.“Before the revolution, people didn’t see Islam as the problem, but after the revolution, they saw what political Islam was — and what Islam is,” she said. She says she is now involved in online groups and talks to her friends at university about being an atheist. Because of her beliefs, rumors have been spread around campus that she’s promiscuous, she said. But she worries worse could happen, such as being targeted as an apostate — one who has renounced Islam. Some Muslim theologians say that’s a capital offense, but no one is known to have died in recent times for being an atheist. Other sages say atheists should only be punished if they proselytize. Others yet say ex-Muslim atheists should be tolerated, citing the Quranic verse, “There is no compulsion in religion.”Most scholars “differentiate between somebody who has an opinion, and others who disturb the peace of society” by spreading their views, said Jerusalem-based Muslim theologian Mustafa Abu Sway.Even harder is the social cost. Declaring oneself an atheist can mean breaking from family and friends and networks that determine a Muslim’s entire social life. The online venues give those questioning their faith a space to go through what can be a traumatic process. Many describe years of depression and isolation. The atheists interviewed by AP said online access to like-minded people gave them courage. All said they were surprised to discover other ex-Muslims out there. They also said reading articles online by prominent Western atheists like Britain’s Richard Dawkins pushed them along the path.Theologian Abu Sway said he sees no possibility atheism will spread among Muslim communities. What’s happening today is “a phase rather than a serious position,” he said. “It could be an expression of dissatisfaction with traditional institutions. We don’t have the Richard Dawkins type. We don’t have our own serious contender. It’s not something systematic.”Mohammed, a 26-year-old Egyptian, says his family still has no idea he considers himself an atheist, even though he has participated in some of the earliest Arab atheist forums online.“There are people who say we should be brave and speak out. That’s just talk,” said Mohammed. “I could fight to say what I think, but I won’t be able to stay with my family.”
He said he was devout as a teenager but grew confused over questions about whether God allows free will — a debated topic in Islamic theology. That, along with science studies, unraveled his faith, he said.
“I couldn’t control my thoughts anymore. I began to be divided into two: between my brain and my faith,” he said. The Mideast was once a more tolerant place for questioning religion. In the 1960s and 1970s, secular leftists were politically dominant. It wasn’t shocking to express agnosticism. There were even a few vocal atheists, including Abdullah al-Qusseimi, a Saudi writer who died in the 1990s and is revered by Arabs who quit Islam. But the region grew more conservative starting in the 1980s, Islamists became more influential, and militants lashed out against any sign of apostasy.Perhaps the pendulum is swinging back, said al-Husseini, the Palestinian atheist now in France.“I think many people were afraid, but now they see there’s people like them. They find courage,” he said. “They exist on the internet — they might have fake names, but they are there.”

And here are the bounderies of the land that Israel will inherit either through war or peace or God in the future. God says its Israels land and only Israels land. They will have every inch God promised them of this land in the future.

Archaeologists have discovered the remains of the ancient Jewish village of Sichin in the Galilee. The village was found near the northern edge of the Tzipori national park.
The discovery was made by a team led by Dr. Mordechai Aviam of the Galilee Archaeological Institute at the Kinneret academic college. The village of Sichin was mentioned by the ancient scholar Josephus (Yosef Ben-Matityahu) as one of the first Jewish towns established in the Galilee in the times of the Second Temple.
The village was later mentioned in the Talmud (Gemara) as one of the Jewish villages near Tzipori.
Archaeologists found evidence of a synagogue at the site, as well as many pottery fragments and other items confirming historians’ reports of pottery production in the village.“Those of us at the dig were very surprised to find seven stone molds for the creation of pottery holders for wax candles,” said Dr. Aviam. “One of the fragments was decorated with a menorah and palm [lulav] fronds.”The dig will continue, he said, with an emphasis on uncovering more of the synagogue, pottery workshops and homes.
